GOE is a business that is committed to offering the best available four wheel drive
training and advice specific to late model Land Rovers (D3, D4, RRS, and FL2). We
are the first business in Australia to specifically target only these vehicles. We offer our
advice and training in seminar format, as well as through hands-on driver training and
tag-along tours. The manager, Gordon German is an accredited 4WDriver with over 20 years of
4WD experience, both touring and in competition. Our trainers also have extensive
experience in touring throughout Australia on some of the harshest and most remote tracks
in the world. Our Land Rover D3 has appeared as the cover car for 4WD Australian
Monthly (the largest 4WD magazine in Australia) and has been the subject of write-ups in
both Australia and the USA.
Since forming in June 2008, GOE has been running monthly seminar nights and training days in
Perth, Melbourne, Harvey, Collie and Lancelin. These are aimed at both potential owners, and
new owners of D3s, D4s, FL2s and Range Rover Sports.
What GOE does:
Unlike the UK, there are no regular Land Rover-run training courses in Australia to educate
new and potential owners, and so GOE decided to do something about it. All our staff are
ardent Land Rover enthusiasts and owners. Gordon is a research scientist, holding a PhD in
Computer Science, degrees in Engineering, and was a university lecturer for many years, so
teaching the complexities of the new Land Rover systems to the lay-person is his specialty.
He has also successfully run a standard D3 in 4WD competition for 3 seasons, winning his class
against modified and highly modified vehicles. He is one of only a handful of people in the
world to do this. Our trainers are all seasoned 4WDrivers, and well-versed in preparing for long
distance touring, basic 4WD recovery and techniques.
Through our training days and informational seminars, GOE can provide first-hand knowledge
and advice to owners and potential owners, helping them get them most from these vehicles.
GOE also manufactures select accessories, such as rock sliders, compressor plates and the like.
